Camp Imua is so much more than a week long Summer Camp! It's a community of support and a wide range of recreational opportunities for our friends with special needs and their families. Join us for fun adventures and outings all year round! Sign up below for as many outings and day camps as you'd like. Volunteer Participation is limited, you will be contacted via email if your registration is accepted.
Imua Surf Camp, Saturday January 23
Partnering with Surfers Healing, an international organization which teaches children with autism to surf, Camp Imua brings our heroic ocean athletes and our amazing camp community together for a day of riding waves. Takes place at Launiupoko, open to children 8+
Molokini Snorkel and Whale Watch, Sunday February 6
An excursion for the whole `ohana, this boat ride with our friends from Camp Imua includes whale watching and snorkeling. Explore the majestic underwater world- show your camper the coral reefs at Molokini, on the way there watch the whales play! Departs from Ma`alea Harbor.
Haleakala Hike and Summit Sunset, Saturday February 27
Camp Imua takes to the trails inside of the crater! Brave campers ages 9-16 will for a one-on-one guided tour- 7 miles round trip. Families with less avid hikers can join us and do the beginning of the trail . Volunteers are needed on the 7 mile hike, and also for food delivery in the evening. Lunch picnic and snacks provided. Dinner will be organized separately.
Jump for Joy Night, Friday March 5
For campers and their siblings, cousins, or friends ages 8-16. This event is designed as an evening off for parents while kids enjoy ultimate air with their closest friends, create memories in the photo booth, and more. Open to kids with special needs and their `ohana. Takes place at Ultimate Air Trampoline Park.
Paddle Sports and Water Camp, Friday March 26 (Prince Kuhio Day)
This camp has been designed as an inclusive experience.* Campers start the day with guided water activities, snorkeling and swimming, then enjoy a variety of outdoor games and crafting in the afternoon. Takes place at Olowalu.
Art of Inclusion March 15-19 (Spring Break)
Visual expression takes many forms. This one-week theater and art camp encourages participants ages 10-16 to express themselves on the canvas, in clay, and on the stage. No experience necessary, all ability levels welcome. Takes place in Kihei.
Inclusive Horse Play, Friday April 2 (Good Friday)
For campers interested in horses and horseback riding, ages 8-16. This camp has been designed as an inclusive experience.* Campers start the day with grooming, riding and barn yard fun, then enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational activities and crafting. Takes Place Upcountry.
Camp Imua One Week Summer Camp
Our Traditional Camp Imua takes place in June. Campers ages 6-16 stay overnight and enjoy excursions and activities alongside high-school aged counselors. This Camp has been and always will be free for our Campers.Counselors are asked to cover the cost of their stay. Takes place at Camp Keanae. Dates TBD
