Lana'i Adventure Day
Saturday May 1st9:15 Ferry from Lahaina to Lana'i5:30 Return to Lahaina
This camp has been designed as an inclusive experience, meaning that campers with and without special needs are invited to experience Camp together. Campers will check in at 9:00 at Lahaina Harbor in front of Pioneer Inn. Each camper will be paired with a young adult volunteer. Everyone will board the Ferry and head to Lana'i. There we will break into two groups. One group will be shuttled to the Adventure Park, the other group will start the day at the beach. We will have a picnic lunch together at the bay, and then the second group will head up to the brand new two-tier adventure tower. All children with all levels of ability are welcome, as long as they are 8 years or older and weigh more than 60lbs. This ropes course is set over a lagoon, and features a belay system that may be challenging for campers. It is the job of the volunteers to encourage campers to explore the tower, and to be right there beside them the whole time, assisting with the equipment when necessary and cheering them along. Registration cost covers ferry tickets, lunch and snacks, and admission to the tower. Please send your camper with a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and beach attire. Closed toed shoes are required at the Adventure Park.
All registrants will receive a phone call to confirm registration and go over any particular support necessary to insure success at Camp!
